Finish my Christmas shopping, plan what food etc to get for the party in throwing next week, maybe finish setting up my new gaming laptop

Wow a boxing day baby! How do you find that? Do people tend to separate your birthday or lump it together with Christmas? I adore Christmas, always have, we had a really regimented routine growing up that was around going to church, opening presents, having a big meal, watching some Christmas TV. Now my best kind of Christmas is just my partner and I, the dog obviously, presents, a nice meal, games and TV and lots of Christmas music! It's as much the run up to Christmas, getting to decorate, seeing family and friends, buying and giving gifts, that I love more than the actual day.

He's supposedly suing the BBC (our main news outlet in the UK) for $1 billion... all over a speech being edited unfavourably against him. At what point do we stop showing this moron respect that he hasn't earned and just call him out on his idiocy?

Lol, fair point. A lot of frustration points from people in my life seems to stem from this attitude though. I can be a bit of an emotional brick wall sometimes if I want to be. And often it's much easier to be, so I kind of "switch it off" - but emotion is important to feel and work through. I'm trying to be better at that.

I do this enough with things that actually matter - relationships, friendships, my job, my health. I prefer to just appreciate the things I enjoy in my down time without psychoanalysing it! Again, just me!

I can be overly logical and focus too hard on problem solving rather than addressing emotional reality. To me, if you have a problem or are upset, then let's work out how to fix it. But some people want to focus on the emotion without jumping to a solution automatically. Which I appreciate, and am trying to be better at being more empathetic in that sense.

Thieves! They'll always try their luck, cause the worst that will happen is they won't get the money. Someone else might not have fought them on it and they'd have gotten freebies. Good on you for holding them accountable.

Lol, been there. I made the mistake of moving house over Christmas 2 years ago, managed to get my mattress delivered, but the bed frame was delayed, so slept on the mattress on the floor for over a week! When the bed arrived, I'd gotten used to being low down that it just felt wrong being high up! Sorry things aren't going great. What's happened?

Was going to say the same thing, lol. While this is a waste of taxpayers money, I think it's a stretch to say he should be arrested for it. He's done far worse things that is worthy of that though.
