It’s wild how resentment doesn’t just sit quietly either—it changes how we show up. We get snarkier, more defensive, less patient. Sometimes it feels like you’re trapped wearing a mask that’s way too tight, hiding the person you actually want to be: someone calmer, kinder, and not constantly scanning for the next slight. What’s fucked up is that this silent grudge can make us act like jerks, which only pushes people away, deepening the resentment. It’s a shitty feedback loop no one talks about. I resorted to drinking a double espresso today cause I was so tired at work, despite absolutely despising coffee... desperate times call for desperate measures 😂

Something I found beneficial is to pay attention to how much time/energy people give you, and weigh it with how much time/energy you give them --- if that is balanced, you may have a decent friendship assuming it is a positive impact on your life.

Who I consider my best friend now is different from who is say it was 5 years ago, and 5 years before that, and 5 years before that, etc.
I think it's okay for friendships to run their course, people change, and sometimes the friendships don't translate to your new priorities and situation.
I mourn friendships sometimes, but I know that if I'm not still in contact with someone there is usually a good reason for it.

I'm getting this weird glitch with this rocket looking icon in the middle of my screen, it moves as I scroll so always stays in the middle. Pic to explain. Is this intentional?
