I'm on the third game of thrones book... it's... ugh... there's a lot of gross stuff in these books, but the overall story line is intense.

I started the first GoT book last year, I didn't get too far but definitely one to pick back up!

I used to have a novel on the go constantly at school but fell out of habit with reading novels when I went to uni.

I've been really into my autobiographies in the last couple of years. I've read a couple of wrestlers, just finished Becky Lynch's book when I was on holiday last week. It's cool seeing a 'behind the curtain' view of the industry.

Which were the most interesting? I thought Jobs and Grant were pretty important.

I read one of Obama's books years ago from before he was president, the guy is so eloquent and smart. I would like to read his recent one from after his time in office too.

What a coincidence, I'm currently reading the fifth book, 'A Dance with Dragons'. So far, I'm quite impressed by the books. Unfortunately, the missing volumes still haven't been released. That's why I'm not looking forward to the end of the fifth book. 😞

Really? How so?

A feast for crows is only about a small handful of characters, and only half of a story. The main plot is slowed down so much. There isn't a lot of action (I'm not too interested around the political side of GOT but they focus a lot more on it). And apparently the other half of the book 'a dance of dragons' isn't even finished as a book. It apparently ends abruptly.

In conclusion I believe this book to be a filler book. With no true development of any story plot lines, just character development.

today at the library I checked out

Death note manga: 7-12 (12 is the end of it)

Soul eater manga: 8

And I also put the book crime and punishment by fydor Dostoyevsky on hold for when they get it

And I bought the bleach manga 3 in 1: 4-5-6

So Yippe (I already read 36-41 in the bleach manga like a month ago when I had discord, so I’m kinda all over the place with bleach bleh :3) and I’m listening to the audio book of Dracula by Bram stoker (if anyone can find a free audio book of no longer human by Dasani osamu PLSSSS SHARE I WANNA READ IT SO BAD) but that it heh

I just finished reading the newest Hunger Games novel Sunrise on the Reaping and it was a really good book I love the expansion into the existing characters backstories

Currently reading Agincourt: Henry V and the Battle That Made England (history major). Fun fact: the GOT series was inspired by the War of the Roses, or the war between the Yorks and Lancasters following the death of Henry V over who would inherit the throne (his son was not well received). 600 years later, and he's still inspiring 💜

I'm reading/listening to World War Z. The movie pales in comparison. I had no inclination to read the book as I wasn't a huge fan of the film. The book is an anthology/ documentary of the 'zombie wars'. Includes interesting takes on the military, world politics, and zombies.

would 100% recommend finishing (as much as george makes possible, anyway) the asoiaf series, they’re some of the greatest fantasy books i’ve read! although i will admit to skipping certain chapters on re-reads, not all of the characters are my favourite.

Just finished Tender is the Flesh. The ending was anticlimatic for me, but otherwise was a good read.

I'm currently re-reading A Letter In the Scroll by Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks to get used to how to writes again before reading To Heal a Fractured World. I avoided reading like the plague for most of my life, making a habit of doing anything at all except sitting down to read a book. I'm finally willing to get through the decade-long backlog of books that were recommended to me 😂 But I definitely don't have the attention span for it yet, that's for sure

Currently starting The Case of D.B. Cooper's Parachute by William Sullivan. It's a fictional story based on the real events of the case by a local author.

Currently reading Dawn by Octavia E Butler. I have heard wonderful things about her and this is the first book of hers that I’ve opened. It’s part of a three book series. Apocalypse, human nature, and aliens. Yes, aliens. Really enjoying it so far, especially with all the thunderstorms lately.

I just started my 73372726th read-through of the Sandman graphic novels, because I'm about to watch season two of the show. First time I'm reading it after the Gaiman allegations. I hope it doesn't ruin it.

A Court of Horny Fairies is the perfect nickname, honestly. Those books definitely know how to mix fantasy with some spicy tension without going full soap opera. Hope it hits the right notes for you—it’s a wild ride, but worth it if you’re into layered characters and messy magic. That is where the whole thing gets weird as shit.

Paris Hilton’s memoir

Cloud's reply
That memoir's heavier than people expect. She opens up about the institutional abuse she faced as a teenager at boarding schools—physical restraint, isolation, no real oversight. It's not a fluff piece. She's been lobbying for reform legislation around those facilities since 2020.

What made you pick it up?
