what games? Did you ever play RE4 on it? What about Mario Party? Metal gear Solid TWIN SNAKKKKESSSS

at that point, i was too girlypop for anything other than animal crossing/mario party/the mii channel but i’d later discover resident evil and fall in love with it

The part of childhood that I miss most is the friends that I had, being able to go home and go to school the next day, knowing that they would still be there to create new memories.

I miss travelling around to different cities with my grandparents, sightseeing the various scenery that we don't get to see every day.

I miss seeing the world as a child, seeing everything for the first time with a fresh perspective

It's hard to say that I really miss anything. I have a lot more freedom and control over my life compared to my childhood. I'd say I miss feeling like I was loved or significant to the people closest to me back then. Looking back on my experience in adulthood, I realize how naive I was back then, and I'd say I'm happy to no longer be blind to what was actually going on, even though it was nice while it lasted.

Can't relate. I liked life when I didn't know who humans really are...

I do not envy myself now, as I struggle to appreciate living among most people.

I miss not being afraid to run the streets at all hours of the night. I'm afraid to even take a walk in my neighborhood these days.

Thinking back to when you were young, what do you miss the most?

Boarding school was hella fun, just like one big sleepover every night.

Also miss the weekends my mum would work and it would just be me and my dad, I'd play The Sims for like 10 hours straight, and then he would make some yummy food (he was a fab cook) and we would listen to classic rock music on his super duper stereo at top volume cause living in the countryside you could get away with that.

Don't have many nostalgic memories that aren't in some way tarnished with something else, but these are good mems 👍🏻

First positive review of boarding school I’ve ever heard. Cool.

Honestly, I don't have a bad memory from my time boarding, and I was young when I was there, like from aged 7-11. I would seriously beg my parents to let me stay at weekends, and this was before issues with my mum really started. It was super fun.

Simple pleasures in life 🤣

  1. My Parents 2. Happiness 3. And like you, hope.

1) Spyro.

2) not feeling impending doom.

3) being carefree.

1) being able to be excited about things

2) playing in the woods

3) having GRAND hopes for the future/being naïve. I'm not a complete pessimist, but adulthood did not live up to the hype, achieving your actual dreams is like, a .0000001% chance which suuucks

I miss the days of playing in the woods too. I did that all the time 💚

1) i miss being able to fake sleep and be carried to bed

2) fireflies because it feels like they were way more common as a child and it was magical

3) the sound of cicadas and playing with their molted shells like lil bug dolls

4??) not sure how my list became so bug oriented but i also miss the older dance games on the wii a lot too!!

i miss forums like this ;-;

among other things

The internet prior to the Facebook era. YouTube without commercials. Nintendo64. Eggo Mini Muffin Tops and after-school snacks. The Guitar Hero craze. Schoolyard hand-clap games. My parents being married (RIP-2023).
