Thinking back to when you were young, what do you miss the most? I'll start with top three...

Hope and Motivation for sure. I also miss not feeling rushed about where I'm at in my life. And I miss my dad a lot.

On a less depressing note though, I miss Noggin, the kids channel that was sort of like nick jr? I also miss specifically the show Out of the Box and I really miss the excitement that used to come from the sound of an ice cream truck.

1. Not having to drive myself places. I miss being able to zone out in the backseat and watch the world go by.

2. My best friend not being on the other side of the planet. Proud of her for going abroad! I just miss her.

3. Being able to disconnect. I love the internet and the potential for connection, but the expectation of being reachable feels like an electronic leash sometimes.

I miss making forts out of blankets and other items in the house. Anyone else use to do that?

Damn, that hits hard. The freedom to be unapologetically ourselves, soaking up the world like a sponge without any filter or fear—it’s a rare kind of magic. Losing that pure enthusiasm sucks, but holding onto the faith, even if it’s less naive, is what keeps the whole damn thing from falling apart. Here’s to keeping that spark alive, even if it’s flickering sometimes.
