Do you have any examples of things that you definitely feel like were one way, but in fact were not?

Image 001.jpg

Which of these do you remember differently?

  1. “Berenstain Bears” vs. “Berenstein Bears”
Most people swear it used to be “Berenstein,” with an E.

  2. “Febreze” vs. “Febreeze”
It’s actually spelled Febreze (only one E in the second half), not “Febreeze.”

  3. “Oscar Mayer” vs. “Oscar Meyer”
It's really Oscar Mayer, not “Meyer” like many remember.

  4. “Looney Tunes” vs. “Looney Toons”
It’s spelled Looney Tunes, not “Toons” – even though they were cartoons.

  5. “Curious George” – Did he have a tail?
He never had a tail – but tons of people insist they remember him swinging from it.

  6. “Fruit of the Loom” logo – Cornucopia?
There’s no cornucopia in the logo, even though many recall one behind the fruit.

  7. “The Monopoly Man” – Monocle or no monocle?
He has no monocle. People mix him up with Mr. Peanut.

  8. “Pikachu’s Tail” – Black tip or not?
Pikachu’s tail has no black tip, despite many remembering it that way.

  9. “Kit Kat” – Hyphen or no hyphen?
It’s just Kit Kat, with no hyphen.

  10. “Mirror, mirror on the wall…”
The actual line from Snow White is “Magic mirror on the wall…”

  11. “Luke, I am your father…”
The real line is “No, I am your father.” – No “Luke” in it at all.

  12. “We Are the Champions” – Last line missing?
People swear the Queen song ends with “…of the world!”, but the studio version just fades out without that line.

  13. “Skechers” – With or without a T?
The correct spelling is Skechers, with no T.

  14. “Double Stuf Oreos” – One F or two?
    It’s Double Stuf, not “Stuff.”

  15. “Sex and the City” vs. “Sex in the City”
It’s officially Sex and the City, not “in.”

  16. “The Flintstones” – Extra T?
It’s actually Flintstones, with two Ts – many forget the first T.

  17. “Mona Lisa’s smile” – Bigger or more subtle?
Some remember it being more obvious, now it looks faint or changed.

  18. “C-3PO” – All gold or different?
In A New Hope, C-3PO has one silver leg – not fully gold like many recall.

  19. “Life is like a box of chocolates…”
Forrest Gump actually says: “Life was like a box of chocolates…”

  20. “Cheez-It” – Or “Cheez-Its”?
The box says Cheez-It, not “Cheez-Its.”

When I was a kid, I remember Chick-Fil-A being spelled “Chic-Fil-A.” Apparently other people remember it being spelled that way too.

I distinctly remember that kid from AHS dying, Evan Peter's. Like saw people posting about it on Facebook and everything, went about my life for a few years assuming he was dead. I don't really watch AHS so I didn't realize for a while. I suppose it could have been a dream, but dang.

That could have just been a rumor someone spread around and people believed it. It seems a little familiar to me too.

People dying trends on a regular basis... me being dead was a popular rumor for a short while. I think that was before I did the "RIP Onision" thing in response to the crazy online climate.

Yeah I don’t find it funny at all to spread a rumor about someone being dead and then you see some people celebrating it in the comments. Disgusting.

Technically my house whenever if think I know where something is only to discover at some critical last minute moment I actually have no idea where I put the thing I'm looking for (I tend to wrongfully suspect my uncle of stealing from me also when I get like this...☹️)

Yeah, I've found whenever I suspect someone stole, I'm wrong --- which is why I stopped assuming that over 20 years ago.
