If he can’t himself as a man sit back and reflect about what’s gone wrong in his life and his own part in that,

The whole "as a man" thing is pretty sexist.

His gender has very little to do with most anything.

Here's a statistic that is relevant:

Translation, the near sociopathic level of apathy people show men is actually quite lethal. It needs to stop.

If you ever catch me feeling sorry for a man, please ask me what’s wrong with me.

You really need to rethink your words. Incredibly sexist and unacceptable.

probably marriage, which is kind of a downer, but it’s true. i was married age 18-22 because i was taught that you had to wait until marriage for intimacy. i was cheated on and ended it. the idea of wrapping myself up legally with someone who will almost certainly let me down again does not appeal to me in the slightest

I will never make a promise lightly. I'm sure I probably have in the distant past, but as I get older I realise more and more... my word has to mean something, and so do my intentions.

Partying.. won't drink, smoke or do drugs ( unless proscribed by a doctor)

Yesterday saw my shed open and went and closed it without thinking about our cats that roam. Noticed I hadn't seen one since yesterday and I had been asking everyone all day if they'd seen him because they always come back at the end of the day. I'm sitting in my garage partaking in some gardening and started thinking about "what if he got trapped in someone's garage?"(Has happened before) But then I thought of the shed from yesterday. And it was almost 100 degrees today. I ran out there and opened it up and sure enough he's in there meowing. Picked him up and he just snuggled me and meowed loudly till we got inside. He ate first now is chugging some water. Will probably take him to vet in the morning if he seems off or lethargic or anything that's concerning. He's eating and drinking water. Used the litter box. Seems ok but very clingy ofc poor baby is probably traumatized. I will never not check inside before I close it ever again because I almost baked my poor cat. I am horrible.

Aww I’m glad you realized that he was probably in there and saved him!

That reminds me of when my dad and stepmom’s cat jumped into my car one night while I was getting out without knowing. It was during the summer too and later on I noticed that I haven’t seen her in a while and had a bad feeling. I thought maybe she’s in my car because she would get in it sometimes whenever I opened the door. So I went to check and sure enough she was in there. She was ok but her whole body was warm and I felt bad. I hate to think of an animal being trapped somewhere and suffering.

So now whenever I visit them, I look in my car before going inside to make sure their cat isn’t in there.

Live in the south, it’s horrible over here.

Trust people at work with personal information or things I'm going through. Coworkers are not always friends, even if it starts to feel like it when you're stuck with them day in and day out.

Probably have a 'fancy dinner' for a date. Me and my spouse don't usually care about that kinda stuff but I planned it for us just cause, that's what couples do right? Well it sucked, it was too far away, cost too much, barely any food. We'd had a much better time just getting some snow cones and walking around the mall or something

Never again will I volunteer to “just help a little” with someone else’s drama.

Because somehow it always turns into:
“Hey can you give me advice?”
turns into
“Hey can you fix my entire life?”
turns into
“By the way this is now your problem.”

Nope.

If your life is on fire and you show up carrying a gas can, I’m not jumping in there with you. I’ll clap from a safe distance and hope you figure out what a fire extinguisher is.

Lesson learned: not every cry for help is actually help. Sometimes it’s an invitation to drown with them.

Hard pass.
