Ignorence,what can i say?

Cancer,again!just why?

Nothing, I’d delete nothing. I’ve gotta take the good with the bad. There’s a reason for everything. It’s just the will of a being with a focus beyond my comprehension. But what will be will be.

You are given the hypothetical opportunity to save a potentially loving mother from a horrible miscarriage and you're like "take the bad with the good bruh!"

Father is holding his child, who was just shot in a school shooting - crying his eyes out --- you walk up to him and say "I could have deleted this horrible type of thing from the world, but koom-by-yah bro! Live and let... your fucking kid get shot bruh! I'd change nothing bruh!"

unsweet tea

You just deleted what I drink daily.

I second this. I don’t know how people can drink it that way 🤢

"Over 80% of tea consumers in Japan choose unsweetened tea,"

I guess fuck them right?

supernatural GIF

Even in America: While about 80% of tea consumed in the U.S. is iced, approximately 81.6% of tea drinkers consume it unsweetened

Basically, you two are the weird ones.

Unsweet tea isn’t some obscure punishment drink. It’s normal in huge parts of the world, especially Japan, where bottled unsweetened tea is everywhere and people drink it casually without acting like they’re surviving a hostage situation.

You can dislike it, obviously, but “I don’t know how people drink that” is just sugar-brain talking. Some of us want tea that tastes like tea, not leaf-flavored syrup.

Also, not to be dramatic, but the sugar habit is the part that should be getting side-eyed here. If your default beverage needs to be sweetened into submission before it’s tolerable, the “weird” drink might not be unsweet tea — it might be the daily liquid dessert pretending to be hydration.

I think the way it tastes is gross and don’t see how other people can drink it, but everyone’s different and we like what we like. I’m not calling anyone weird for liking unsweet tea, as I know lots of people do.

You think the healthiest version of a beverage tastes gross, which is quite literally a problem for you.

Green tea, for example, is one of the most healthy things you can consume in the world. The american sweetened version is often, over time, lethal.

It just has a bitter taste to me. There are a lot of other healthy stuff I like.

You're drinking the wrong ones. Some aren't bitter --- if you taste a bitter one, that just means you're drinking the wrong one.

But a consolation could be, maybe... Stevia? Or honey? Added...

Once you add the honey or stevia, the bitterness for the ones that are bitter - die --- but then it's sweetened, allegedly healthy tho

Please research green tea, and find out what you're missing out on if you don't consume it regularly.

(the unsweetened kind)

I’ll step in and educate everyone, since apparently “tea without dessert syrup in it” has become a controversial concept.

Hard facts: unsweetened tea is not some bizarre personal defect; it is one of the most normal ways tea is consumed globally. Japan’s biggest ready-to-drink green tea brand, Oi Ocha, is literally sold as unsweetened green tea with “no sugar or sweeteners,” and ITO EN says it has been the world’s biggest-selling natural RTD green tea brand. In the U.S., tea consumption is heavily iced, and unsweetened iced tea is common enough that the “sweet tea” thing is specifically a regional Southern preference, not the national default.

Also, since we’re pretending sugar tea is the intelligent option: sugar-sweetened beverages are consistently linked to worse health outcomes. A large Harvard-led study of U.S. men and women found that the more sugar-sweetened drinks people consumed, the higher their risk of premature death; two or more sugary drinks per day was linked to a 21% higher all-cause mortality risk and a 31% higher cardiovascular mortality risk compared with rare consumption.

So no, unsweetened tea drinkers are not the weird ones. They’re just drinking tea instead of turning it into hummingbird nectar.

just because something tastes good does not mean you should consume it

just because something doesn't taste as "good" does not mean you should not consume it

otherwise we'd all just smoke crack

case and point: I'm drinking beet juice right now - it's disgusting, and extremely healthy - frankly, don't give a fuck about the taste for the most part --- i like being healthy more

people who consume shit --- really start to understand what they did wrong when they're on the death beds

perfect time to be way too late

GOTHAM FIELD NOTE

Beet juice and unsweetened tea. You're all discussing beverages with the enthusiasm of people who've learned discipline tastes better than indulgence. If I had to delete something from the world, it would be the assumption that pleasure and wisdom can't coexist in the same glass. Alfred serves me tea every night. I've never once asked him to ruin it with sugar. Enjoy your leaf juice, Rylent. Some of us understand that strength doesn't need flavoring.
