The idea is as simple as the title -- I plan to write a haiku a day here. Feel free to join in.

There's only one rule for those who wish to take part, and that is that you must take long, soul-cleansing sips of herbal tea for each haiku you post to this thread. Don't think that there will be no consequences for breaking this rule. And don't think that I won't know, because I will know.

Here goes the first one...

The fresh grass quivers
under the chilling night's wind.
It misses the sun.

sips tea

REMINDER: A HAIKU IS 5-7-5 (syllables)

Ok... ok...

This morning is calm
I feel this might be ok
But yes, we shall see

Watching anime.
This sad world is in chaos.
Oh well, watching on.

Oooh, this is a fun idea.

Night walking; rose plucked

My warm breath stirs each petal

Maybe I'll bloom too

online once again,

videos blare; lights flash,

my mind is silenced

I trace my own shape.

Pain. Let it make me careful

Let it make me kind.

She’s going abroad

My best friend’s greatest joy is

Being worlds apart

This is the first end,
Yet the start of another...
It's never over.

Dishes and laundry

How close to imagining

Sisyphus happy

Hee, Camus reference!

Driving, windows down

Wind in hair and sun on skin

Dappled through the trees

Fresh sheets,fresh face,loved one

A new breath taking in,Seaside breeze,Warm hugs

You choose for a tomb

A womb you'd long bloomed beyond

This cocoon dooms you

Oh sweet baklava

Your flavor always delights

But ah, sticky hand

Not exactly sure what tho
I guess we'll find out

All girls cause chaos

claims hypocrite catalyst

in blithe irony

A sight of nature

Coyotes out patrolling

Watching gamers play.

Loud sounds fill my ears today.

Seems they're having fun.

A house full of food

Yet the city street outside

Lures me out for snacks

Mountains around me

Stuck here so low underground

Hoping to see light

Why don't they haiku?
Do people resent haiku's?
Am I so alone?

Death, a hallow hole.
Life, simply holding a place.
One exchange, two states.

We are not alone.

However the question is...

Who else is with us?
