  • Hey ash,
Under some game descriptions there's specifications listed that may help you on narrowing down what kind of range you're looking for. My advice is to find which requirements are needed in the graphics card to play your favorite games and games you've been wanting to play. Have you started a list yet? I like Steam's system.
I've found that the NVIDA GeForce series works nicely with my VR headset, and the updates and instillations over the years are on point. Customer service is helpful in diagnosing related issues, as well. There's a reason people flock to this company's products in tech stores for new releases. It's a reputable company and with long-lasting cards throughout upgrading or downgrading.

  • Cool and good to know. What about your writing/outlining process?

  • Oh dude so am I! I found out when I went on a walk with friends on a path that I'd walked down almost daily for months, and one of my friends pointed out that a section of the path was completely covered with poison ivy. I gave my friends piggy back rides through the section because we were all in shorts and the other path was carpeted with huge thorns. I have no idea about poison oak though, I don't know if I've ever meaningfully encountered it.

I have not one, but two allergies that only affect about 1% of the population- mushrooms and seminal plasma! Both of these allergies are much more likely to be seen in people who have allergies to a lot of things (like dairy, pollen, peanuts, bees, etc) but I have no other known allergies at all. I'm not even really affected too bad by seasonal allergens (in my part of the US at least, no idea if I'd have worse allergies elsewhere).

  • The characters in Steven Universe are literally all bad people, but that isn't a reason to hate the show as a whole. A lot of people just can't handle seeing animated characters being exceptionally human in a way that can't be easily justified as something that makes them attractive. The main character all kind of suck as people in contradiction to the virtue signaling because that's what real people do

  • Oh it’s probably because only members can send messages. I would just wait until he sees this post.

  • Currently, learning how to play video games 😆 I've started on Hogwarts Legacy in earnest, and I recently installed my first Minecraft mods to try playing anything but vanilla. I finally got through Fallout 4, but it took me a solid 6 months because I kept putting it down and neglecting to pick it up for weeks at a time. I might go back soon and do some of the side quests I never bothered to do, or maybe just start over and try to be more of a completionist about it

  • Technically I'm Jewish, but in a noncommittal way theologically. I participate in the traditional aspect because it helps me feel a meaningful closeness with my family (and for the most part, I just dig it) but theologically I'm much more heno-agnostic. Whether or not any god exists, I don't consider that my problem. If another god or more gods exist, I also consider that to not be my problem. I'm happy doing what I'm doing

I think that...motivation is inherently fleeting. Desire and ideation are what lasts, but most people don't naturally stay energized toward a process or project without short-term results- especially when it's set against instant gratification. What fills that gap between bouts of motivation, is discipline. For me, turning a long term goal into progressive short term goals helps me re-focus and re-motivate. Part of that probably has to do with my professional life and having "continuous improvement" drilled into me until it's second nature, but it does help to stop, acknowledge and celebrate progress, and have a win in what I'm trying to be motivated/disciplined about.

  3. Stardew Valley: 10/10, the game that launched the cozy gaming revival. The dev is a gem.

  5. It's interesting how it seems the West side has a lot of similar things and the East side is an add-on. Not necessarily complaining. From a logical standpoint, it's a larger map, there's a marketing advantage of nostalgia to it, repeating files is a ton easier than building a whole mountain in whatever proprietary software they use, there will be a lot more to do on that right side of the map; it looks majority city. While all past NPC's in the franchise have some level of AI, I'm looking forward to the evolution of how customizations of prompts can be really immersive.
